Level 4 - B2

To complete the forth level (B2) students must know the following:

ability to comprehend oral speech

The student must have the ability to understand extensive oral text, lectures and complex argumentation. The student must be able to understand television news bulletins and news programs, as well as discussions between at least four physical speakers. Also the student at this level must have the ability to recognize unfamiliar words and memorize them so that he can later ask about their meaning or spelling.

READING COMPReHENSION 

The student must be able to identify the substance and the relevant details of the text they are reading. He/She must recognize the intent and purpose of excerpts from sources such as newspapers, magazines, regulations, official letters and reports.

writing

The student must have the ability to produce descriptive and narrative speech with logical clarity and accuracy, on topics that relate to personal and everyday experiences. He/She must be able to write a report, where it informs or justifies, supports or disproves a particular point of view, developing and formulating arguments with logical structure and coherence. The student must be able to write letters in which he/she can emphasize the importance of facts and experiences.

speaking

The student must be able to converse with relative ease and spontaneity on issues related to a situation and thematic areas described at this level. The student must be able  to express his/her personal ideas, needs and intentions with accuracy. They must also have the ability to produce a small amount of continuous coherent speech supporting their point of view with arguments.
